FROZEN SHOULDER TREATMENT

Adhesive capsulitis, another name for frozen shoulder, causes discomfort and stiffness in the shoulder joint. Exercises designed to increase the range of motion are used to treat frozen shoulders. Injections of numbing agents and corticosteroids are occasionally used as a kind of therapy. Rarely is arthroscopic surgery required to release the joint capsule and allow for greater mobility. Typically, signs and symptoms start out mildly before getting worse. Symptoms normally improve over the course of one to three years. Usually, a frozen shoulder develops progressively over three stages.

Freezing stage-Any shoulder movement results in pain, and the shoulder's range of motion is restricted. There are two to nine months at this stage.
Frozen Stage- During this stage, pain may lessen. The shoulder, though, stiffens up. It becomes more challenging to use. Four to twelve months are spent in this stage.
Stage of thawing-The shoulder's range of motion starts to increase. This phase lasts for five to twenty-four months.

The shoulder joint is protected by a connective tissue capsule. When this capsule around the shoulder joint becomes thicker and tighter, limiting movement, a frozen shoulder develops. If you've had an injury that makes it difficult to move your shoulder, consult with our experts at Spine Joints Pain Relief Clinic for the Frozen Shoulder Treatment.
